January 23, 1959 - April 18, 2016
David Ben Solomon passed away at home surrounded by his loving family in the early morning hours on Sunday, April 18, 2016. Born in Novato, California on January 23, 1959 to Ronald Bruce Earley and Annalee Joan Gregory, David grew up in Virginia Beach, Virginia and graduated from Princess Anne High School in 1977.
David served in the United States Airforce as a B-52 Gunner before becoming a full-time apprentice to Paul Solomon for 15 years from 1979-1994. David documented Paul's life during world tours to Egypt, Israel, Europe, Australia and Japan. During this period of teaching and apprenticeship, David studied under many teachers gaining his knowledge and wisdom of the art of Bonsai, and T'ai Chi, all of which he loved.
In 1992 and 2010, Solomon assisted Egyptologist John Anthony West and geologist Dr. Robert M. Schock in re-dating the Sphinx, as well as other Egyptian and Turkish monuments, proving them many thousands of years older than previously thought. David's earlier extensive comet impact research supported the re-dating of these ancient sites. In 1994, he appeared in a supportive role on the national telecast NBC special Ancient Prophecies II, where he discussed the life and prophecies of Paul Solomon, founder of the Fellowship of the Inner Light, where David was also an ordained pastor. After Paul Solomon's death in March 1994, David moved to Washington State and "retired" from spiritual studies to build a family and business.
There, he founded Fast Transact, Inc. Over the next 15 years, the company became one of the largest online payment processing companies in the Pacific Northwest. In January 2010, with the sale of the company, David returned to his spiritual roots and created Akio Botanical Japanese Gardens bringing his love of bonsai to his surroundings and his life.
In July 2011, as the Japanese gardens transformed his property, David began intensive research into the near death experience, a project he would subsequently call The Dead Saints Chronicles. His research was 95 percent complete when he was diagnosed with Glioblastoma Multiforme IV (GBM), a rare, aggressive brain cancer that kills 50 percent of its victims within 15 to 18 months. Thirty four months after the diagnosis, David fulfilled his dream of bringing his 1st book The Zen Journey Through the Christian Afterlife to print on April 6th. His book is the first in a trilogy with the second and third books named: Training Wires of the Soul and The Armageddon Stones which will be published later this year.
Mr. Solomon commissioned John Anthony West to edit the Chronicles from April 2014 to its exciting completion in late November 2015.
David brings to the table decades of personal experience with world religion. A full-time apprentice to Paul Solomon for 15 years (1979-1994), David documented Paul’s life during world tours to Egypt, Israel, Europe, Australia, and Japan. During this period of teaching and apprenticeship, Paul Solomon directed David to study under many teachers, including: in the U.S., t’ai chi master Da Liu; in Japan, renowned bonsai master Takanohashi Sensei, and Tamo San (born Ryoju Kikuchi), the first recognized enlightened Buddhist priestess in 500 years.
In 1992 and 2010 Mr. Solomon assisted Egyptologist John Anthony West and geologist Dr. Robert M. Schoch in re-dating the Sphinx, as well as other Egyptian and Turkish monuments (proving them many thousands of years older than previously thought).
Mr. Solomon’s earlier extensive comet impact research supported the re-dating of these ancient sites. In 1994, he appeared in a supportive role on the national telecast NBC special Ancient Prophecies II, where he discussed the life and prophecies of Paul Solomon.
After Paul Solomon’s death in March 1994, David moved to Washington State and “retired” from spiritual studies to build a family and business. Though lacking a college degree and with no business experience, he founded Fast Transact, Inc. Over the next 15 years it became one of the largest online payment processing companies in the Pacific Northwest, handling nearly $1 billion in annual payments for clients including GoDaddy.com, Dr. Phil, and 5,000 online and retail merchants.
Mr. Solomon sold his company in a multi-million-dollar deal in January 2010. With the proceeds of the sale, he returned to his spiritual roots, beginning a seven-year project to build Akio Botanical Japanese Gardens around his five-acre home.
In July 2011, as the Japanese gardens transformed his property, Mr. Solomon began intensive research into the near-death experience, a project he would subsequently call The Dead Saints Chronicles. His research was 95 percent complete when severe equilibrium problems drove him to a hospital ER, where a CT scan found a one inch (20mm) brain tumor. A subsequent brain biopsy confirmed that the tumor was Glioblastoma Multiforme IV (GBM), a rare, aggressive brain cancer that kills 50 percent of its victims within 15 to 18 months.
Despite months of debilitating radiation and chemotherapy, and faced with his own death, Mr. Solomon began writing The Dead Saints Chronicles with a Blues-Brothers-Mission-from-God vigor. During this difficult situation, an unresolvable financial crisis exhausted his project funds. He was forced to sell Akio Botanical Japanese Gardens and most of his assets, and relocated his family to Virginia Beach in late November 2013 so that he could receive ongoing cancer therapy at Duke University. Mr. Solomon commissioned John Anthony West to edit the Chronicles from April 2014 to its exciting completion in late November 2015.
Mr. Solomon continues to live in Virginia Beach with his family, enjoying the ocean and his small bonsai garden. With the help of his wife, Delynn, he is in the process of completing the second book in The Dead Saints Chronicles series, Training Wires of the Soul.
AWARD-WINNING AUTHOR: A Gold and Silver medalist recognized by the FAPA, David Solomon brings insight into what you think you know about death, dying, and the Afterlife

About John Anthony West: Author, lecturer, and guide, John Anthony West delivered a seismic shock to archaeology in the early 1990s when he and Boston University geologist Dr. Robert Schoch revealed that the Great Sphinx of Giza, Egypt, showed evidence of rainfall erosion. Such erosion could only mean that the Sphinx was carved during or before the rains that marked the transition of northern Africa from the last Ice Age to the present interglacial epoch, a transition that occurred in the millennia from 10,000 to 5,000 BC.
